Yemaya
This
statue was brought to us from Brazil. On New Year's eve people dressed
in white gather on Copacabana beach to worship this ocean Goddess. They
send their wishes out to her on little rafts. If the tide takes their
raft to sea, they consider their wish granted. Yemaya is a treasured Orisha
(deity) of the Santerian religion. She is the loving mother we can surrender
our troubles to.
This
image is available as an 8x10 framed print, candle and greeting card.
