St. Rita

If you are suffering in an unhappy marriage, invoke Saint Rita. She can help you to fix it or to end it, whichever you may prefer.
Rita was born in Italy in 1381. At the age of 12 she was married to a brute who may have invented domestic violence. Her marital agony ended after 18 years, when she found his murdered body on her doorstep. Rita was now free to fulfill her lifelong ambition to enter the convent. The only catch was that since she had two sons she was obviously not a virgin. Rejected twice from an Augustinian convent, she miraculously transported herself into their cloister. This masterly feat gained her acceptance. As a nun she prayed to Jesus to join in his Passion and He sent a thorn from the crown to pierce her brow. The wound festered, and Rita's scent afforded her a lot of privacy and space. After her death the stench turned to a rose fragrance. Her body still remains in perfect condition in a glass casket in Cascia, Italy.

Rita understands the pain of an unrewarding marriage. Offer her roses with thorns and ask for her assistance. She is a perfect companion for those coming out of a difficult divorce. This statue, acquired in Copacabana, Brazil, is from the collection of Dr. Rita Schoeny.

Rita is available as 8x10 framed print, candle, t-shirt or greeting card.
