St.
Jude
Feast
day October 28
Many
people ask why St. Jude isn't among the early entries to ServingSpirits.
My response is that he is so popular in his own right, he hardly needed
additional press from us. But when I saw the psychedelic representation
that Aris had created from a traditional painted votive holder I knew
the time was right. "Patron Saint of the Impossible," St. Jude's name
pops up in the personal section of newspapers in thanks for his miraculous
intervention. His ability to solve hopeless or desperate problems stems
from the fact that he was often confused with Judas, betrayer of Christ.
When he received so few petitions for help, he was able to use his abundant
free time to fix the really difficult situations. His reputation spread
even more when Danny Thomas sought his help, received it, and founded
a children's hospital in his name.
His
image is available in framed matted print, t-shirt, candle and greeting
card.
