Reclining Buddha

Here we see the perfect incarnation of relaxation. Reclining on a bed of colorful leis, this Buddha contemplates his tropical drink with pleasurable assurance. If he is not in Nirvana yet, he is very close to it. We first encountered the Reclining Buddha in the famous temple of Wat Po in Bankok in 1984. This particular statue is from Grant Street in San Francisco's Chinatown. Meditating on him will give you permission to slow down and enjoy the moment without apology.

Reclining Buddha is available as t-shirt, candle, greeting card and framed 8x10 print.
