Oya

Oya is the Yoruban Orisha who assists in creating great change. Goddess of the Winds and Hurricanes, she shakes things up and removes stagnation. Here is an invocation from the folks at Flame & Fortune.

Come Twirling Woman who sweeps that I may not be swept away.
More fierce than the storm
You appear majestic at the height of the tempest!
Queen of the wind, shake to the very foundation all obstacles
Which burden my body and impair my spirit!
Please guard my soul against the many fingers
Of evil and help me
To rest upon this Earth free
From strain and undue frustration.
