The Feast of the Assumption celebrates the moment when, after completing her earthly sojourn, the Blessed Virgin Mary was assumed into heaven, body and soul. To represent the Madonna, we have chosen a portrait of Our Lady of Guadalupe taken at the Sancturary at Chimayo, New Mexico.
