Marie Laveau
Marie Laveau is the most famous Voodoo Queen New Orleans has ever known. Her grave at St. Louis Cemetery #1 has a constant stream of visitors each day leaving offerings. Not only was she a powerful spiritual force, but she was also a savvy businesswoman. She saw no conflict in attending Mass each morning, then spending the day dispensing gris gris bags to her customers. She is shown here with her accoutrements- rum, candles, a black cat, snakes and alligator teeth.
