Church
Dome
On
February 7, 1887 the Church of St. Nicholas in Amsterdam was consecrated.
Patron saint of the city, he went for over 200 years without a proper
church during the Catholic repression. The building that finally came
to represent him is a graceful example of sacred space. The acoustics
in the church are exceptional and we were lucky enough on one occasion
to be there for a choral rehearsal. When you closed your eyes in that
cold dark church you were transported back centuries in time.
Church
dome is available as a framed, matted print, t-shirt, candle and greeting
card.
